Learn the basic science behind cyanotype print-making; a camera-less photographic printing process, and leave with an archive quality print of your making.

The workshop will include an oral history of the process and its' uses, mixing chemistry, learning through test exposures, the creation of a cyanotype on archival paper, and basic toning techniques.

You are free to bring your own negatives or physical items that you'd like to experiment printing with. There will also be a selection provided at the workshop.

Slow down and learn the timeless craft of weaving in this beginner-friendly, hands-on class. We’ll start with the very basics, building a foundation you can return to again and again. Learn the basics of weaving techniques and stitches, and complete a simple weaving that can be used as a coaster, a patch, a bookmark, a potholder, placemat and more. This class is entry level, with hands-on guidance, suggestions for trouble shooting, and an opportunity to have all your weaving questions answered. Materials to use and class & take home provided. 

Learn how to warp your loom, use small and large needles, thin and thick yarns, and how to finish off a completed weaving. Infinitely reusable bamboo looms, needles, combs, embroidery thread and unique hand-spun and thrifted yarns are provided for class use and to take home, and you’re welcome to bring your own materials as well. Once the class has hit their stride, herbal tea from the Dear Tomorrow gardens and organic herbs will be served.

Out-of-practice weavers and intermediates are welcome. Refresh your skills, and build to your next level. A space to learn, ask questions, receive help, and brainstorm ideas to embroider the design of your dreams.

This hand building workshop will introduce students to the foundational ceramic technique of coiling.

Students will learn how to roll coils, shape a vessel, and construct a functional or sculptural coil pot while exploring form, balance, and personal design choices. After pots have been fired students will go home with at least one fully functional coil pot piece. 

Notes: Firing of pots can take anywhere from 3-4 weeks. So expect to pick up your pot 4 weeks post class.

Portrait drawing class for artists of all levels who want to slow down, observe closely, and create something meaningful. Through guided exercises in proportion, gesture, light, expression, and line, you’ll learn how to capture not just a likeness, but the personality.
